Persian and oriental specialities
Diagonally opposite the Markus church (Markuskirche), in the immediate vicinity of the Röthelheimpark in the east of Erlangen, we opened our restaurant in September 2016. With a top chef de cuisine in the team, the healthy and colorful Persian cuisine has thrilled our completely mixed audience: from young to old, from Erlangen franconian citizens, over students to international guests, and of course, our countrymen, coming from a larger radius to Erlangen to enjoy their well known local specialities. Take a trip to the Persian kitchen and we are sure you will like it. A kitchen that surprises with very different pleasant spices and herbs, some may remind you of the earlier storybooks ... saffron, cardamom, cinnamon....
Very few people know this cuisine from their own travels to our native Persia, meaning Iran and its neighboring countries.
With aromatic spices from Arabian Nights
Bright yellow saffron, aromatic cardamom, red barberry berries, colorful curry, fragrant rice. Surprising sauces, for example with pomegranate, with walnuts and mint aromes. Add Dugh, a refreshing lightly sour yoghurt drink, flavored with mint and served ice-cold.
